Since moving, I’ve spent a lot of time wandering around my neighborhood to find places to photograph my outfits. I find a new home while finding them and their prettiness. I take a walk every second I can–it keeps my mind free.
CULTURE IN MUNICH
Munich offers a wide range of culture. You should visit one of the Pinakotheken, Deutsches Museumand a well chosen exhibition at Haus der Kunst. Some of the museums even offer a reduced charge from 1 Euro on Sundays. Haus der Kunst also offers drinks at night in the integrated Goldene Bar. It’s located between the city center and the Englischer Garden and is perfect for a walk or a picnic.
EAT AND DRINK IN MUNICH
You will find a lot of cozy coffee shops and restaurants at the area of Glockenbach–the quarter between Reichenbachbrücke – Isar river–as well as the most important sight: Viktualienmarkt. Take a seat and drink a coffee roasted in Munich, and go fro fries at Bergwolf.
You will find good Bavarian restaurants and Munich beer everywhere in the near of the city center. There a a lot of bigger breweries like Augustiner and Spaten, but you can also find beer from little breweries from the quarter like Giesinger Bräu at Giesing.
I like fish, so I can recommend the trout restaurants in the south of Munich with Isar view. The original dish is blue trout, what means it is cooked in vinegar.
Act like a local and collect your picnic at Viktualienmarkt and find a place there at the Biergarten or at the Isar. Yes, you can bring your own food to the Biergarten–just as long as you order drinks.And don´t forget the dessert and go for ice cream at ARTEfredda, an organic ice cream shop right in my neighborhood.
SHOPPING IN MUNICH
There are many well chosen boutiques in the area of Odeonsplatz and Maximilansplatz and all around the Gärtnerplatz. Vintage is rare, but there is a kilo shop in Talstraße just a few steps from the Viktualienmarkt and some nice ones at Baaderstraße.
Weekends are my time for my passions. I try to see the alps as often as I can. I love to run around mountain lakes or climb a mountain peak. But I also enjoy city live and like to dance to good music. Munich offers both – city feeling and nature.
